Biography
Jason Mies has a Masters Degree in Business Management from the University of Tampa. He also has certificates in General Electrical Knowledge and Grounding and teaches accredited educational seminars for electrical engineering firms. He has ten years with the Protection Technology Group. His primary focus is on Surge Protection Devices for AC and DC power, RF and low voltage data lines. Jason provides guidance in selecting the appropriate protection, ensuring proper installation and meeting the latest industry standards: AREMA, IEEE, UL, IEC, NEC and GR-1089.
Jason has supported and worked closely with engineering firms across the US to provide reliable and accurate information used to keep surge protection specifications updated. Some of these firms include HNTB, LTK, AECOM, Gannett Fleming and Parsons.
