This course provides an overview of California’s Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) and its role in creating a structured, proactive approach to workplace safety. Learners will review the legal and regulatory framework behind the IIPP, including Labor Code §6401.7 and Title 8 CCR §3203, and examine the required written program elements, training triggers, documentation practices, and common compliance issues.
The course also explains how employers can identify hazards, communicate safety information, investigate incidents, correct unsafe conditions, and maintain supporting records. By the end of the course, learners will understand the purpose of the IIPP, the basic requirements for implementation, and practical steps for supporting compliance and improving workplace safety performance.
